Dr. Varma has worked with government and private agencies to generate expand AIDS awareness and minimize stigma discrimination. With this objective he produced and directed documentaries with support from Public Service Broadcasting Trust.
Prior to his involvement in the Healthcare space, Dr. Varma headed the National e-Governance Plan coordination for the Government of India by widening the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) application towards providing better citizen services. Dr. Varma is a LEAD Fellow and visiting faculty at the Institute of Management Technologies, Ghaziabad on the subject of Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility.
